For maximum sustainability and scalability, the Data Centre, Disaster Recovery Centre & Communication Centre flooring should be carefully selected. The raised floor is a ubiquitous feature of the centre.
The access flooring system we use, exceed all performance criteria without sacrificing aesthetics, acoustics, safety or stability. The access floor panels are either cement filled or all steel open cell construction units.
We offer a range of access floors that has been specifically designed to cater for the demands and flexibility required of today’s Data Centre, Disaster Recovery Centre & Communication Centre.
Raised flooring was originally developed and implemented as a system intended to provide the following functions:
- A cold air distributions system for cooling air
- Tracks, conduits, or supports for data cabling
- Cable trays for power cabling
- A copper ground grid for grounding of equipment
- A location to run chilled water or refrigerant lines or any other utility.
TechNocRacy’s access floor systems design and implementation are the ideal choice for new and renovated centres space. They conceal cables, wires, air ducting and other services; yet serve as easy access for maintenance work and relocation of these services.
Access floors are flexible enough to adapt quickly and easily to changing equipment layouts and are designed to withstand heavy rolling loads and concentrated loads, often a requirement of Data Centre, Disaster Recovery Centre & Communication Centre system which need to facilitate the moving and placing of computers and other equipment.
Our system has the versatility of allowing panels with different load characteristics to be placed exactly where they are required within the same understructure.
Access Floor Panels
The panels are strong, safe and quiet with the following advantages:
• Structural strength.
• Excellent distributed load characteristics.
• Good acoustical performance.
• Quiet and comfort under foot.
Each panel measure 600mm x 600mm in size, are resistance welded before being filled with a cementitious fill.
Each panel has square reinforcing pockets on the underside, which enhance structural strength. The isotropic design, gives the panel excellent load distribution properties.
The panels are non-combustible and are coated with e-coat conductive paint.
We can currently offer two alternative Airflow Systems for the access flooring system.
A 600mm x 600mm perforated all steel panel covered with a hard surface covering (HPL) and a 150mm x 450mm aluminum grille that fits into a cut-out on our standard panel.
The perforated panel is also available with a damper control.
Access Floor Understructures
The understructures ensure rigidity; lateral stability and quiet performance, with a solid, secure feel underfoot. All systems and understructures offer an exceptionally high degree of accessibility.
Snap-Loc understructures are suitable for data centres applications and provide high stability by utilising stringers, which hold the floor and pedestal head in position when panels are removed.
Stringers snap on and off without tools. An electrically conductive gasket is placed on top of the stringer.
Screw down System
Screw down understructures are also suitable for data centres a applications and provide higher stability by utilising stringers which hold the floor and pedestal head in position when panels are removed.
In addition, this system has mechanical fasteners at the stringer/head interface. The screw down system is recommended for areas where high finished floor heights are required with improved lateral stability.
Access Floor Coverings
Access floor coverings are available in anti static high-pressure laminates (HPL).
HPL come in a variety of patterns and colours and can be fitted with either a PVC edge beading or specially chamfered edges or with an integral trim.
Single suction cup panel lifter.
Double suction cup panel lifter.
Electrical outlet box grommet.
Cable grommet which is a permanent airflow sealing solution, which will accept perpetual cabling changes without requiring technician training, policing, or labor to cut, scribe, re-install, reposition, or modify any part of the grommet. Grommet is inherently self-sealing using a multi-layer, overlapping, and interwoven, bypass airflow closure system.
